I never thought I'd make it as a writer...

I never thought I'd make it as a writer... a married mum of four in a demanding job in the police, all my time went into working and caring for my family. I loved writing, but I was exhausted and there were gnawing doubts:

I wasn't sure that I was good enough to be an author.
I was clueless about the logistics of publishing a book.
I couldn't give up a secure job with so many bills to pay.
It was hard to find the time or motivation to carry on.

But then I learned how to turn things around...

I'm a New York Times, Washington Post and USA Today bestselling author. But being able to write full time and spend quality time with my children was the most rewarding experience of all.

I've now sold over 2 million books. My novels have been translated into 17 different languages and one of my novels, Truth And Lies, has been optioned for TV. I've been shortlisted for various book awards, including the 2022 Audie awards alongside Stephen King.

I've had No.1 bestselling books in the USA, UK and Australia and tens of thousands of five star reviews.
